Introducing baby Reuben

This little chap came into the studio just before Christmas with his mummy and daddy for his first Watch me grow Photo shoot.  Now on his second WMG  photo shoot and he has changed so much already…….He’s a very smiley little fella but on this occasion was saving his smiles for everytime I put the camera down.

You have to work hard to get a baby to smile that’s why it is so rewarding when they do.

The Photographic Studio is now in its 10th year of  offering the watch me grow package and we are also proud to be the Master Photographers Associations local Cherubs photography studio for Stafford, Stoke, Cannock and surrounding areas.

Watch me grow fees are still only £35.00 for 4 sittings in a year…this includes 1x 10″x8″ print from each session, this is a great gift for any parent.

The studio portraits are still one of our most popular services, however if you prefer we can also offer great location portrait sessions, having the studio offers us this luxury so the choice is yours.

Studio Portrait fee’s for 2012 are still only £20.00

Location Portrait fee’s are £50.00 for the Stafford area ……..Portrait shoots outside Stafford POA.

Another recent portrait shoot in the studio was the lovely booth family all the way from Glasgow…the family had got together a few week before Christmas for their family portrait.

we started the portrait session with all the family and then split up into the different family groups and finally photographed the little ones including the family dog.  Another really enjoyable portrait shoot.

Our basic model shoot lasts around half a day and includes MUA and hair stylist plus a selection of professionally finished files on CD with full rights.

I have been so busy this year that I have found it difficult to keep up to date with my blog. So let me start with a pre wedding shoot from earlier in the year, these are a few images from Donna and Daniels portrait shoot.

The couple are now married so I will post a few shots from their wedding soon.

We spend around 30-40 minutes on pre wedding portraits and keep things nice and simple, the idea is for the couple to get used to being photographed and help them with posing so on the big day they feel more at ease with the camera.

Pre wedding portraits are done on a weekday in the Stafford area.

Here is a recent photo from Isabelle’s 3rd watch me grow session. Throughout a 12 month period she will visit the studio 4 times and each time we will capture the changes that are happening over the first year of her life, photographs that will become even more valuable and precious with time.

I’ve been very busy in the studio with lots of newborn baby shoots recently with mums who have signed up for either my watch me grow plan or  the cherubs package.

Bodie recently came to the studio to have his second WMG session and to have some photos taken with his Daddy. He is such a happy little boy with the biggest blue eyes and he seemed to quite enjoy having his picture taken. The last photo in this set was my favourite of the session I loved the eye contact Bodie has with his Dad.

{Studio Lighting}

One of the main things I wanted to do was test my lights and get a feel for how things would look in the new place, you kind of get used to a space and instinctively know camera and lighting settings, what works and also what doesn’t work so well. This said I needed to test the space so Grant kindly volunteered to help me out for a few hours one evening, As Grant is a professional Boxer and a good few years younger than me I didn’t fancy upsetting him LOL.
After a couple of hours we had managed a few different looks and lighting sets.

I have just under 800 Sq feet of studio space so can accommodate larger family groups, all wedding client meetings are also taking place in the studio. We are now connected to a modeling agency to shoot their folio’s which is something I’m really looking forward to.
