As an experienced wedding photographer I know that capturing the perfect image is as much about getting people to relax, as having the right equipment. I’ll take the time to get to know you at your personal consultation and pre-wedding shoot and together we’ll find the right style for you. Whether that’s a very relaxed documentary style, a creative and artistic take on things, more traditional family shots or a mixture!
To help you decide what feels right for you, here’s my brief guide to what we can do together. Great wedding photography is a collaborative process; I’ll bring my skill, equipment, enthusiasm and passion. You gift me with some of your time, energy and honesty and the results will be amazing!
CLASSICAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
It is rare for me not to have requests for a number of classical wedding photography shots. These are the traditional group shots taken after the wedding ceremony, during the drinks reception. Bride & Groom with the Bride’s Parents, Bride and Groom with the Groom’s Parents, Bride & Groom with Bridesmaids, Ushers, Best Man … the list can go on!
A wedding is generally a family affair, it is a day to be cherished, a perfect day surrounded by those you love. It’s only natural that you’ll want to accommodate everyone’s wishes for a photograph with you, but time really does fly on your wedding day. If you’re not careful, you’ll spend your entire drinks reception feeling like you’re on a photo shoot as one group of family members after another is positioned around you for a group shot.
At your private consultation we’ll determine which group shots are essential and how much time we’ll designate to getting them. It may be that we get your ushers working for their suits and helping get the right family members into position for us! The last thing I want for you on your wedding day, is for you to feel like you haven’t had time to enjoy a drink with your guests, to chat with friends and actually enjoy your day. Together we’ll make sure that you have fun getting the classic wedding shots you want, within a short period of time, so that you can enjoy yourselves.
DOCUMENTARY STYLE
This is un-posed, unobtrusive, stylish wedding photography. It can be magical.
I’ll work tirelessly to capture the mood of your day; those fleeting moments of pure joy, that smile or gesture that lights up your face, pictures that personify you two, together, in love. Rather than directing the proceedings, I’ll record your day faithfully, the pictures will tell your story.
I understand that your wedding day is precious to you; it’s a celebration, a landmark day in your life. You’ll want to spend it enjoying each other, your guests and your family. If you want fantastic photographs but you don’t necessarily want to spend an eternity posing for them, then documentary style wedding photography may be right for you.
CREATIVE IMAGERY
This is where I rely on my eye for beauty. With over twenty years’ experience as a full time wedding photographer I can relax just a little and trust my instincts, play around with ideas and be inspired by the imagery that surrounds me on your wedding day.
As you’re busy getting ready I might steal off with your amazing wedding shoes because I’ve spied the perfect round window to shoot them in; or I’ll borrow the bridal bouquet and shoot it propped against an incredible feature within your chosen wedding venue. I might ask you both if you’d like to sneak outside before dessert, so we can get a silhouette of you both against the sunset. . .
We can talk a few ideas through at your private consultation. Maybe you’re getting married around Bonfire Night and fancy using some sparklers in the evening to create a unique shot or maybe you’re game for a laugh and want me to get some shots of you both strutting your stuff in your wedding wellies! It’s your day; let’s explore what imagery you’d like to create.

On your wedding day I’m totally committed to getting it right for you. I only accept a limited number of wedding photography commissions per year to ensure that you get me at my very best.
I am so passionate about every wedding I shoot, I only offer one, simple and straightforward wedding photography package with no hidden extras because I want to do your day justice, I want to be there for you, to capture those moments and tell your story.

YOUR PRIVATE CONSULTATION
Following receipt of your deposit payment, we’ll set a date for your private consultation where we can discuss in detail how you’d like to approach the wedding photography on your big day. We’ll talk through your list of required family shots (if you have one) and I’ll ask you for an idea on your wedding day timings so we can put together a loose plan for your wedding photography.
PRE-WEDDING PHOTO SHOOT
This is the perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other a little better and for me to get you to relax in front of the camera. I’m happy to meet you on location, perhaps at your chosen wedding venue, that way I can familiarise myself with the venue too. It’s a bit of fun, just a couple of hours enjoying each other’s company. My package includes getting your favourite image from the pre-wedding photo shoot mounted – it makes the perfect alternative to a guest book.
ALL DAY COVERAGE ON YOUR WEDDING DAY
I make myself available to you, all day on your wedding day. At your private consultation we’ll discuss whether you’d like me to get some shots of the bridal preparation or if you’d prefer me to meet you at the ceremony location. I’ll be there to get shots of the preparations, your guests arriving and the all important ceremony. We’ll work together during the drinks reception to get any specific family shots you’d like. I’ll photograph the speeches and be on site right through to the first dance and beyond. I don’t want to miss a thing for you!
YOUR BESPOKE WEDDING ALBUM
My Ultimate wedding package includes an exquisitely produced Wedding Album for the Bride & Groom, two Parent Albums, eight Pocket Books and fifty Thank You Cards in addition to a DVD of all the images from your day.
I am passionate about making sure my couples receive a stunning wedding album that they can cherish for years to come. It’s too easy to think that you’ll get your own album printed in due course from digital images. I can promise you that you just won’t get around to it!
