Nicola & Kirk |Married| The Ashes |Endon

Nicola & Kirk | Wedding | The Ashes

The day started with the bridal preps at Nicolas parents house, this gave me the opportunity to get all those important details shots of shoes, flowers, perfume and jewellery.
We then headed over to St Peters Church in Maer to meet the groom ….Maer is a rural village in the Borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, to the west of Stoke-on-Trent. It was at this church that Charles Darwin Married Josiah Wedgwood II daughter Emma. ( History lesson over !!)

I believe that Kirks parents and Grandparents had also been married at this church so we decided it would be nice to do the family groups in the same location. This done we headed over to The Ashes wedding venue for the reception. The Ashes is a magnificent Grade II* listed family home with two listed barns which have been caringly converted to provide an unrivalled venue for weddings, civil ceremonies, functions and corporate events.

At the Ashes the main photographs of the couple were taken along with some requested group shots, finishing off with the speecher prior to the wedding breakfast.

Here as usual are a few shots fro the day…..

All the very best for the future guys………

Baby |Portrait | Photography

Baby’s First year…

I first met Jo and Andrew back in 2007 for their wedding photographs at Sandon Hall…….

In 2009 Jo and Andrew had their first child and came back to me for one of the WMG packages, this is a year in the life of a baby with photographs taken around every three months to show how baby changes over that first year, from new born to standing this is something parents can treasure for a lifetime.

As I have just finished B’s last session I thought it would be good to share a few images from some of the shoots.

Starting with the most recent

and just over a year ago…!!

Alison & William| Wedding Day | Swinfen Hall

Alison & William | Swinfen Hall

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of photographing Alison & Williams wedding. The church service was held at Holy Trinity in Sutton Coldfield followed by the reception at Swinfen Hall.

I met Alison in the morning at Swinfen Hall so I could photograph the bridal preps and details such as shoes, flowers, perfume and jewelry and as William was also getting ready at the hall I dropped by his room and grabbed a few shots of him and his best man…..

From Swinfen I headed over to Holy trinity in Sutton Coldfield to photograph the service, just after the service we managed to get the large group photo done and no sooner had I finished when the heavens opened so it was back to the hall for the remaining photographs, Finishing off with the after dinner speeches and first dance.

a few faves from the day…

Rachel & Richard | Wedding| Caverswall Castle

Caverswall Castle | Rachel & Richard

The wedding of Rachel & Richard took place at Caverswall Castle , Caverswall Castle is a 13Th Century jewel that nature has blessed with beautiful surroundings.  Approaching via a majestic tree lined avenue, the Castle is naturally hidden by mature oaks and lyme trees, and is set in over 35 acres of private grounds, enjoying a unique tranquil grace; truly a fairytale scene.

The day started at Rachel’s parents home with the bridal preps, Rebecca from mix and match bridal was on hand to help with the dress.  From here it was onto the church to photograph  Richard and best man, the talking point on his arrival seemed to be the Aston Martin that he arrived in ( Nice !!)

Following the service we headed off to Caverswall Castle a truly stunning venue for the remaining photographs, I photographed the groups at the church so this left plenty of time for the Rachel & Richards photos plus relaxing time with their guest.

A great day with a great couple.

Becky & Steve

I just wanted to share with you the email I had the other day from Becky and Steve who’s wedding I recently photographed. It is these emails and thank you cards that leave me with a warm feeling and a smile on my face, knowing that my photographs have given my clients such happiness and life long memories.

Steve and Becky thank you so much for the kind words and I’m so glad you cant stop looking at the album and long may it continue…..thanks again for letting me into your lives on this very special day and all the very best for the future I hope you have a long and happy life together…

Hi Steve

Sorry I wasn’t with Steve when he picked up the album, I just wanted
to thank you for it! I had high expectations because I had seen what
you had done for friends but I was totally blown away by it! It is
brilliant and beyond what I expected, I can’t stop looking at it, you
have caught everything brilliantly and I am so glad you didn’t try and
pretend it hadn’t rained, the ones with umbrellas and the moody rain
ones are really moving and some of my favorites, Steve took it to work
with him and his (female!) colleagues said it was the best they had
ever seen, I am not brave enough to take it on the train to work yet!!

Cheers and thanks again

Becky

Laura & Stuart| wedding| Birmingham

Hornton Grange |Birmingham

Stuart & Laura’s wedding took place in December at St Francis church in Bournville ( next to cadbury world !) followed by a reception at hornton grange.

The day started with the bridal preps at Laura’s parents home about 5 minuets from the church, this is always a good opportunity to get those detail shots of the brides dress, shoes, flowers and perfume.

from here it was onto the church to meet the groom and his ushers. The day itself  albeit on the chilly side was a nice bright day.

After the service whilst we were doing the family groups mince pies and drinks were available for the guest.

Finally a warm welcome awaited Stuart & Laura at Hornton Grange

A few photo’s from the day enjoy………….

Once again guys thanks for having me,best wishes for the future may you have a long and happy life together.
