A Magical Day at Pendrell Hall – Laura & Lee’s Wedding
On the last day of May, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Laura and Lee’s gorgeous wedding at the ever-popular Pendrell Hall in Staffordshire. It’s a venue I always love returning to — the elegant interiors and stunning grounds offer the perfect setting for a relaxed, fun filled wedding day.
Pendrell Hall indoor ceremony
Laura and Lee chose an indoor ceremony in Pendrell’s beautiful ceremony space, and it was filled with love, laughter, and a bit of magic — quite literally! Their master of ceremonies, Christian Fletcher, did a brilliant job leading the day and keeping guests entertained with close-up magic throughout the drinks reception. It really added something special to the atmosphere.
Hair and makeup were in the very talented hands of Kelly Hoult, who made sure Laura and the bridal party looked absolutely flawless from morning prep to first dance. The groomsmen looked sharp in suits provided by Suits You Sir in Stafford, perfectly complementing the elegant style of the day.
One of the most unique touches was the wedding cake — created by the fabulous Amy Bakers Cakes — which was cut straight after the ceremony. It’s the first time I’ve seen it done this way and honestly, it’s a brilliant idea. It meant all the daytime guests got to enjoy a slice while the celebrations were still unfolding.
The evening party kicked off in style thanks to a cracking live performance from a superb country rock band, who had the dance floor bouncing well into the night.
As with many modern couples, Laura and Lee weren’t looking for hours of posed photography, and that’s totally fine by me. Over the years, I’ve refined my wedding photography style to give my couples a balanced collection: a few cool hero shots, the essential family groups, and plenty of authentic, real moments in between. That way, couples get a genuine feel of their day with natural, relaxed storytelling.
Huge thanks to Laura and Lee for having me along and to all the fantastic suppliers who made the day run so smoothly. If you’re planning your wedding at Pendrell Hall, I’d love to hear from you — it’s a venue I know inside out, and I’m always up for capturing another amazing love story there.

Pendrell Hall Wedding Photographers
It seems so long ago now that I photographed kerryanne and olly’s engagement shoot in Liverpool, the weather that day wasn’t being kind to us, thankfully the wedding day was the complete opposite.
The location for the wedding was the beautiful country house pendrell Hall located on the edge of codsall wood South Staffordshire.
I asked Kerryanne and olly a few questions as it’s nice to know how couples meet and why they choose their particular suppliers and venues.
WHERE AND HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?
At work 2020 Liverpool in the traffic section, After joining the same company (Olly joined in 2005 and I joined in 2007) we became friends and started going out a year later.
HOW DID YOU PROPOSE?
Olly surprised Kerryanne by getting down on one knee in an Ice Cave.
WHERE DID YOU PROPOSE?
In an ice cave under Gigjokull glacier in Iceland.
WHERE WAS YOUR FIRST DATE?
Watching La Machine (a giant mechanical spider) which was part of Liverpool’s celebrations when the city was the European Capital of Culture 2008.
WHAT DID YOU THINK OF EACH OTHER ON YOUR FIRST DATE?
Olly came to meet Kerry, her nephew and friends. She thought he was really kind to her nephew and he enjoyed himself but they both wanted to get to know each other more so that lead to a second date on their own.
WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE ON YOUR WEDDING VENUE?
Having been to a number of weddings in the northwest we were looking for somewhere a little further afield. After an initial search online we narrowed it down to 3 venues. After visiting them all Pendrell Hall stood out from the rest even though it was going through major renovations. With its unique features in particular the ballroom with its jaw dropping skylights and large bay window Pendrell Hall had something special about it.
HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER? As we both love taking photos we found this to be the toughest decision of the whole wedding planning process. After an extensive search online and beyond it lead to us meeting with a lovely and talented guy called Stephen Sutton 🙂
