Clare & David’s Autumn Wedding at Weston Hall Stafford
Last year I was fortunate enough to photograph a number of weddings at Weston Hall, A venue I love working at and one with so many great photographic opportunities.
It’s also handy because Weston Hall is the closest wedding venue to my house, so I can be found there from time to time enjoying a meal and relaxing with family and friends, and great food it is too.
David and Clare had chosen Weston Hall as their wedding venue for an autumn wedding and apart from one small shower we had good weather for most of the day.
I have known David since we were 5 years old at primary school (yeah that long!)And when he asked me to photograph his wedding I couldn’t have been more pleased.
Pre wedding meeting
I always meet up with couples around 4 weeks prior to a wedding to discuss any particular images they want me to capture; I tend to shoot a mixed style of documentary ,relaxed and informal images along with some of the romantic,creative and dusk photographs. I find this gives a wedding album a good mixture of images. The brief from David & Clare was simple, few groups and capture the day and guests naturally. Group photo’s are something that need careful consideration, we understand you will want some of those important family groups, but you also need to keep in mind they can eat into your time, so planing is everything and not having a huge list of groups. We try and advise on 5 to 6 max, This way you can get the key images you have requested but more importantly enjoy your day, trust me no one wants to stand around for hours whilst endless groups are being photographed.
A bit about Weston Hall
Weston Hall is located in the heart of Staffordshire countryside, it is a magnificent grade 11* listed building surrounded by 20 acres of breath taking scenery. The Hall retains many of its Elizabethan features including open stone fireplaces and oak beams in many of the rooms. It has elegant decor throughout and is a truly magical setting for you and your guest to enjoy.
Looking at my bookings for 2015 and 2016 it looks like I will be visiting Weston Hall a few more time yet, so keep checking back for more images.

Somerford Hall { Wedding open day}
10.am to 4.pm with service providers
Somerford Hall will be holding their wedding open day on Saturday 24th January, if you have recently got engaged and looking for that perfect venue then make sure you come along and take a look around one of the west midlands finest venues.
The house is open from 10.am until 4.pm and you will have a chance to look around all the rooms including the bridal suite and guest rooms, along with the stunning grounds.
Wedding service providers will also be on hand to help you plan your special day, including platinum wedding cars, capture video, RG promotions and much more.

SOMERFORD HALL {WINTER WEDDINGS}
Ruth & Daniel Married At Somerford Hall
Ruth and Daniel held their winter wedding at Somerford Hall in Brewood, a beautiful and elegant venue set amongst a 100 acres of landscaped parkland.
I’m fortunate that I’m one of the recommended suppliers at Somerford Hall and Ruth is one of the team, so when she asked me to photograph her wedding I was delighted.
The weather stayed dry for us on the day too, but Ruth did pack a nice pair of wellington boots in order to get some photographs up at the folly.
Although we did get out into the grounds Somerford hall is equally as stunning inside, so come rain or shine you are guaranteed some lovely photographs.
I also had the pleasure of working with Rich in the evening from RG promotions, a great DJ and it’s always fun working with him as he gets the wedding party on the dancefloor, and then of course I can get those party images that will bring a smile to your face for years!
With most of my weddings I tend to start with the bridal preparations in the morning and work through until the first dance in the evening as standard, this will give all my couples a great memory of their day and allow me to document the full story.
Finally if you are giving Somerford Hall consideration as your wedding venue then please note they will be holding a wedding open day on January 24th between 12-4pm.
