STAFFORD WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Summer Wedding at The Moat House Acton Trussell Staffordshire with Demi + Sam
The Moat House
I have been meaning to blog this wedding at The Moat House in Acton Trussell for a while.
Demi & Sam had chosen the Colin Lewis suit for their wedding ceremony followed by a reception held in the Acton Suit.
My day started up in the bridal suit for all the preparations and the all important details. I spent around 30 minutes with the Bride before heading out to meet the groom and his best man.
I just documented the guys whilst they were enjoying a few beers in the summer sun.
Design elegance were on hand proving all the room décor and later the photo booth in the evening.
I have worked at the Moat House numerous times over the years and its always a pleasure re visiting this lovely venue, the grounds are stunning along with the lakes and canal there is also the opportunity to pop into a nearby field for shots with hay bails or other colourful crops.
Heres a few images from Demi + Sams wedding at The Moat house.

INGESTRE HALL WEDDINGS
Lucy & Peter
Ingestre Hall Stafford
Lucy & Peter were married at the impressive Ingestre Hall, a grade 11 17th century Jacobean mansion situated in Ingestre, near Stafford.
I have worked at this venue a number of times over the years and I love how the area seems untouched by the modern day, you turn the corner heading past Ingestre stables and it’s like going back in time, it’s so beautiful and a lovely setting for a wedding or maybe even an episode of Downton abbey 🙂
I have traveled all over the UK photographing weddings over 20 years and I honestly believe that Staffordshire has some of the most stunning venues on offer.
Even if you’re not getting married you should drop this on your list of things to see in the area.
Wedding day coverage.
Lucy and Peter opted for all day coverage from bridal preparations at Ingestre Hall in the morning right through until the dancing in the evening. Lucy’s mum even played the drums with the band Capo4 in the evening; it was such a great day from start to finish.
Bespoke creations were on hand to dress the room and tables, they also provided the bar and flowers for this wedding and Melissa from bespoke creations was also Lucy and Peter’s wedding planner. I love working with these guys they are just so organised.
Another wedding I was pretty much given the freedom to document with just a couple of requested groups and then they pretty much left me to it. I love working like this, the freedom of being able to document a wedding capturing real moments as they unfold and guest interactions along with some creatively posed couple shots really do make for a great wedding album.
We had the most amazing Sunset at Ingestre Hall, it didn’t last long so we had to act fast in order to get it, thankfully after i mentioned it to the Bride & Groom there were more than happy to pop outside for a quick photo.
Here is a selection of images from a super fun, super cool wedding!

SOMERFORD HALL WEDDINGS
Somerford Hall
Laura & Marks Summer Wedding
Somerford Hall in Brewood was the location for Laura & Marks Summer Wedding. Always a popular choice with couples this venue seems to have it all.
From the beautiful kept grounds and large terrace area to the tucked away folly and cool out buildings, you are guaranteed to get a wide variety of amazing wedding images from this venue. And fear not, should the weather not be great, this is one venue that has plenty of scope inside as well as out to ensure your wedding photographs will always stand out.
I have been fortunate enough to work at Somerford Hall many times over the years and have a great working relationship with all the team and other suppliers at the venue, and it’s a privilege to be one of their recommended and trusted suppliers.
There is always something new to discover at this venue and you will often find me walking the grounds when all the wedding guests are enjoying their wedding breakfast, scouting new locations or trying to find that unique image for couple.
Laura & Marks wedding was a fun filled chilled out day, they didn’t really ask much from me in terms of groups so gave me the freedom to document the day as it unfolded capturing all those interactions between guests, family and friends. a few family group photos but no big long lists so it gave the couple more time to spend enjoying their day.
Please find a selection of images from Laura & Marks amazing wedding at Somerford Hall….

The folly, tucked away at end of the garden is great for some portraits.

Wedding guests chilling in the evening sun.

The lads decided to have an impromptu race around the garden, my money was on Mark, he didn’t disappoint 🙂

SANDON HALL WEDDINGS
Sandon Hall Weddings| Victoria & Ashley.
Recently I was back photographing at Sandon Hall for Victoria and Ashley’s wedding
I have been fortunate to work at Sandon Hall a number of times over the years and this venue never fails to impresses me.
Sandon hall is also exclusive for your wedding meaning you can relax and celebrate your day free from any distractions.
Victoria and her bridesmaids were getting ready at Sandon Hall in the garden room, a large suit overlooking the front of the house, The room is full of lovely antique furniture and I love all the old framed portraits of the family who have lived in the house that adorn the walls.
Ashley and Victoria had chosen the oak panelled library for the wedding service with views over the gardens and after this the guests all enjoyed drinks and canapés in the conservatory.
Sandon Halls elegant interior and extensive grounds make it a perfect choice for your wedding and has so much variation and opportunity for some great photographs. With this in mind the bride and groom took a walk around the grounds allowing me plenty of opportunity to get some lovely images of them, I tend not to take the couple away from their guests for too long as i don’t want the day to be dominated by endless amount of posed photographs, so it’s always about getting the right balance. Photographing and documenting the day and capturing all those moments as they unfold combined with images of the couple give the final album a good balance. This is usually something discussed with each individual couple prior to the wedding as some couples prefer more natural images and others may prefer a few more creatively posed images.

Summer Weddings At The Moat House
A few weeks ago I was back at the Moat House in Acton Trussell For Holly and Pauls Summer wedding.
The day started with a trip to the Bride’s home for her preparation photographs
I usually start with the details such as the Brides shoes, jewellery, wedding dress and Perfume; these make a nice spread in the wedding album.
Then I tend to follow on with the hair and make up, but this is done towards the end when the final touches are being applied, all this is done in an unobtrusive manner so I wont ask you to pose for anything.
Once I had all the preps done it was time to head over to St Michaels and meet the groom and his entourage to capture them arriving at the church.
Holly arrived a little later and looked amazing, her walk up to the church with her dad and Bridesmaids was another opportunity to grab some natural images.
It’s always nice to mix the more natural shots with a limited number of formal photographs, this helps tell the story of the day rather than having everything rigid and posed. Weddings for me should be fun, show excitement, emotions and moments that can’t be posed or copied.
After the service we headed over to the moat house, Platinum wedding cars provided the transport for the couple, they have immaculate cars and provide a first class service so check them out if you are looking for wedding cars.
During the drinks reception I photographed the groups that the couple had requested, and then took them for a walk around the grounds to get some of timeless images across the lake.
It proved very entraining trying to do this with a swan that has some serious social issue J you can check out his antics in the blog photos.
Holly and Paul had gone for all day coverage so this is usually from the bridal preparations through to the couples dance in the evening, I tend to hang on after this for a few dance floor shots and maybe a nice dusk shot with the tree all lit up, this looks amazing at night and is a must get shot for anyone getting Married at the Moat House.
Anyway thanks for looking please check out a few images from the day.
