PENDRELL HALL WEDDING
Kirsten & Tom
Pendrell Hall Wedding
Kirsten & Tom celebrated their wedding at the fabulous Pendrell Hall on the edge of Codsall wood.
I love going back to Pendrell Hall, it’s such a great venue to photograph, inside and outside it has so much to offer, even on a rainy day you are guaranteed a great set of images as the venue has so many different areas to work in.
The extensive grounds also offer great areas for some lovely photographs, lawn games or just sitting and enjoying the sunshine and a glass of bubbly.
On arrival at the Hall you are greeted by a magnificent water fountain, this makes a great backdrop for that big group photograph and confetti throwing
Couple that with the walled gardens and formal lawns you really do have the perfect backdrop for some great wedding photographs, there is so much choice and this makes every wedding unique and special for each couple getting married at Pendrell Hall.
This year I have been fortunate enough to have worked at Pendrell Hall on many occasions, even photographing an outdoor ceremony on what felt like the hottest day of the year.
I will blog this one soon so don’t forget to check back and have a look!
Here are a few of my favorites from Kirsten and Tom’s awesome wedding.
Thanks for looking.

MODDERSHALL OAKS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Fiona & Kevin’s fabulous wedding took place at Moddershall Oaks this Autumn, with a beautiful outdoor ceremony over looking the lake. Thankfully we had great weather for the time of year!
I love the Autumn colours and the warmth it brings to the images and the surroundings at Moddershall Oaks really shows this off, with the sun streaking through the golden leaves on the trees and landscaped gardens that surround the impressive lake.
This had to be one of the most relaxed weddings I have ever had the pleasure to photograph, Fiona and Kevin only requested two group photo’s and this gave them more time to spend enjoying their day and getting to chat with their guests.
It was lovely to be given the freedom to document a wedding with pretty much no requested photo’s from the couple.
I’m extremely privileged to be on the recommended suppliers list at Moddershall and have photographed this venue numerous times over the years, but this was my first outdoor ceremony and I loved it!
a beautiful venue, fantastic couple and some great weather, what more do I need 🙂
Here are a few of my favourites from their day.

Country barn wedding | Ashes Endon
Holly & Chris
Ashes Wedding Venue
Hollie & Chris’s wedding took place at the picturesque Ashes Country barn in Endon, with its grade I listed manor house, stone courtyard and views over looking a majestic lake, this truly is a fantastic backdrop for your wedding photographs.
Ashes a country barn wedding
My day started with the bridal preparations in the old dairy, this is a light and spacious room perfect for Brides getting ready at the Ashes. Rebecca Jayne from Mix and Match was also on hand to help Hollie get into her dress and make sure everything was perfect.
The weather wasn’t great at the start of the day but that wasn’t dampening anyone’s spirits and soon brightened up after the service.
Hollie & Chris tied the knot in the historic wedding barn with its Oak beans and long isle, another great location for the wedding ceremony.
After the service we headed outdoors and around the stunning gardens for those timeless images, along with some more natural and fun images from the day.
My day concluded in the evening with the Hollie & Chris’s first dance, and some dance floor shots of the guests.
Here are a few images from a fabulous wedding at The Ashes Barns Wedding Venue.

The Moat House
Rebecca & Ben’s service took place in a lovely church near Wombourne, followed by a reception at The Moat house in Acton Trussell. The photography at the church was mostly documentary just capturing those little moments as the guests arrived with a few key images of the groom and his best man.
After the service we had around an hours drive back to the moat house and thankfully the couple had allowed plenty of time for photographs at the venue.
As they had booked me all day I decided to take some of the images after the meal as they had around an hour prior to the evening guest arriving, this gave them more time with the guests during the day and kept everything nice and relaxed. Rebecca and Ben were great to work for and gave me more than enough time to document their day.
We had glorious weather all day and into the evening with a beautiful sunset.
Here are a few of my favourites from the day.

Pimhill Barn Wedding
Rachael & Geoff Married at pimhill barn.
Where to begin with this wedding? it had to be one of the most relaxed weddings I have ever had the pleasure of photographing at Pimhill barn, I started early to take exterior photographs of the venue along with some of the details and room layout, only to find the groom, best man and ushers playing a game of touch ruby, even the owners pet dog came for a run out.
The weather was absolutely stunning for Rachael and Geoff ‘s big day. Geoff’s family and friends had travelled all the way from New Zealand for the wedding and I was so glad they had such a perfect day!
Rachael has the most amazing red hair and looked absolutely stunning in her designer dress.
Relaxed wedding photography
The couple had requested that the photography should be natural and relaxed with just a few family groups, so after the service we left them to mingle with their guests and went about documenting the day.
The grounds at Pimhill
The grounds at Pimhill are beautifully landscaped with amazing views across Shropshire, we had a little time in the gardens and made use of some of the feature’s, the tree house proved to be popular with everyone for some fun shots.
The reception
Once the photographs had finished we headed back into the barn for the speeches and wedding breakfast, the room was lit with thousands of fairy lights and looked so pretty.
We moved seamlessly into the evening for the dancing and partying to really get going with the coolest band and live music, what a party, what a day!
I feel incredibly lucky and privileged to be able to document these wonderful days for couples all over the country, and providing them with memories to treasure for the rest of their lives.
Picking out some favourite images for this blog was easy…keeping them down to a blog-friendly number was not…

Somerford Hall Spring Weddings – Vicky & Jacob
Somerford Hall Wedding Photography
In March I was back at Somerford Hall for the wedding of Vicky and Jacob, a fantastic venue with endless possibilities for some lovely wedding images and one that I’m proud to be on their list of recommended suppliers. I have photographed at Somerford Hall countless times over the years and each wedding is always as unique and individual as the couples that I photograph.
A HELPING HAND
I asked my good friend Martyn of Greswold photography to give me a hand with the wedding as my usual assistant was a guest. I have known Martyn a number of years and know I can trust him to help produce a great folio of images.
THE WEDDING CEREMONY AT SOMERFORD
The wedding ceremony was to be held at Somerford Hall in the drawing room followed by the meal and speeches in the Ballroom.
After the service we headed out onto the terrace for a few family photographs, thankfully the weather was kind to us all day and this added to the relaxed atmosphere and fun of the day.
It’s important to me that the couple get time to enjoy their day and spend time with guests along with having the photographs, so my style is a mixture of classic and documentary, thus giving all my couples the best of both worlds without taking over the day.
Vicky and Jacob were fantastic to work with and gave both myself and Martyn time to get some lovely images for them that they and their family will treasure for a lifetime.
This wedding was such a pleasure to photograph and below are a small selection of images from a fantastic day at Somerford Hall….
