Pimhill Barn Wedding | Amy & David

Pimhill Barn Wedding | Amy & David

Pimhill Barn Wedding

It was great to be booked by Amy & Dave to photograph their wedding at Pimhill Barn wedding venue in Shropshire. I have photographed at Pimhill barn a few times now and I always seem to get really fun couples with crazy guests that just love having a laugh, plus I always seem to bring the sunshine ( this is not in my contract though ) 🙂

So my day started with the bridal preparations in the bridal suite at Pimhill, it was all nice a very relaxed. One of Amy’s friends paid a surprise visit during the preps, as the night before she had just given birth to her beautiful baby, when Amy spotted her friend it was a very emotional moment, but a happy one.

After this I headed over to meet David and his groomsmen to grab a couple of photo’s, I kind of get a couple of structured images and then just document the rest, it’s nice to capture people just doing what they do.

Relaxed natural wedding photography

My photography is very much natural and relaxed and along the way we grab a few nice portraits and any requested groups, the main thing for me is the couples are enjoying the day and spending time with guests and not 3-4 hours with me.

I usually start by photographing any groups the couple has requested as that way the guests can all relax knowing they won’t be needed again for any formal photos.

Pimhill barn gardens

After the wedding ceremony, we headed into the gardens of the house for a few portraits of Amy & David, this area I believe is reserved just for the bridal party. The view from the gardens over the Shropshire countryside is beautiful.

Evening reception at Pimhill barn.

Once we headed inside for the wedding breakfast and speeches, it was time to turn the room around and the band to set up for the evening entertainment. Like I said every time I go to this venue I seem to have a large group of serious party animals 🙂 I love to see people just having a great time and enjoying themselves and the images hopefully have captured this.

As usual here are a few images from a fantastic summer wedding at Pimhill barn in Shropshire.

What a pleasure it was to photograph Leanne and Todd’s wedding at  The boat house Aston marina.

The day started a little different than usual as we were asked to cover both the bridal and the groom preps, this is something we can offer couples if needed as I work with an assistant on all day wedding packages.

The marriage service took place at St James church near Sandon hall, a lovely church up on the hill overlooking the Staffordshire countryside.

After the service, the newly married couple headed the short drive to Aston marina in Stone.

Leanne & Todd had provided some lovely vintage fairground attractions for their guests to enjoy in the afternoon sunshine. Whilst the guest were enjoying some canapés and drinks, we spent a bit of time with the couple taking some portraits around the boathouse.

It was such a relaxed fun day with fantastic weather, a great couple and some amazing guests.

I will be posting more weddings from this fabulous venue soon, so feel free to check back from time to time
Here are a few images from the day…….

It was great to be back at The Moat house in Acton Trussell for Taz and James wedding.

The Moat House is a venue I have been lucky enough to work at over many years and privileged to be one of the recommended photographers. It has to be on your list of wedding venues to look at when planning your big day.

The Moat house is a beautiful venue in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside. The grounds are always perfectly kept all year round and make for a stunning backdrop for your wedding photos.

My work can take me all over the country but it’s always nice to be close to home every now and again 🙂

Here’s a selection of images from Taz and James wedding day.

Moddershall Oaks Wedding

Moddershall Oaks Wedding

Moddershall Oaks Wedding

Moddershall Oaks was the setting for Holly and Daniels summer wedding. They were blessed with great weather so the outdoor ceremony was a must.

Moddershall oaks is situated in the heart of  the Staffordshire countryside with stunning views and the outdoor ceremony overlooking the lake makes it a perfect backdrop for your wedding.

After Holly and Daniel had completed their civil ceremony they headed back inside to get changed for their Chinese tea ceremony. This was so colourful and I loved the outfits the couple were wearing, so after the ceremony we grabbed a few minutes for some portraits.

Later they changed back into the traditional wedding attire and joined the guests for drinks and canapés.

This was a really relaxed wedding with only a few formal group photos requested, so it didn’t take long to get these done leaving the couple to enjoy their day.

Here’s a few from a fabulous wedding at Moddershall Oaks, I have been meaning to blog this for a while but finally found the time to share some of Holly and Daniels images

HEATH HOUSE WEDDING | JESSICA & REBECCA

Jessica & Rebecca held their wedding at the magnificent Heath House located near the village of Tean in Staffordshire, I have been meaning to blog this wedding for a while but no idea where the time goes.

Both Brides opted to get ready at the house prior to the wedding service so it was great to pop from room to room grabbing a few of those prep images. My brief was they wanted a more natural documentary approach with a few posed images, so it was great to be given the freedom to do this.

Jessica & Rebecca are two of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to work with and great fun, This is something i really wanted to capture in the images.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place inside the main house in a beautiful room with a large chandelier, the walls have some amazing old paintings and the room is full of gorgeous antiques and ornaments.

Both brides made their way to the ceremony down the impressive staircase that stands proud at the centre of the house.

The Gardens

After the ceremony we left the couple to mingle with their guests for a while before taking them for a walk around the grounds and over to the orangery, this is a must see if you ever visit the house. The gardens and grounds of this venue are simply stunning and a photographers dream to photograph.

The wedding breakfast.

The wedding breakfast took place in the marquee that is in the grounds of the house. Prior to the meal it was time for those all important speeches, and a sing along of course, it Jessica and Rebecca what else would you expect 😉 Fletcher magic was also on hand entertaining the guest in the evening. My day finished just a little after the first dance as i tend to stay and grab a few shots of everyone partying. A fabulous day with a great couple at a stunning venue.

Natural wedding photography?

Is my wedding photography natural, well yes and no, I don’t advertise myself as a documentary wedding photographer and then take loads of posed photos, my style is mixed. Working with couples prior to their wedding to get a feel of what they are after always helps. I don’t believe in leaving everything to chance, so it’s great to mix it up and offer a little bit of both. I personally believe this will give the best overall album, retains interest to the viewer along with some creative image for a little wow factor.

Below are a few images from Jessica & Rebecca’s wedding day.

WESTON HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Hannah & Ed booked me for their wedding photography at Weston hall some time ago. Hannah works in the wedding industry so when I got this booking I felt really privileged as I would imagine she comes across 100’s of photographers.
Weston Hall is just down the road from my studio and a venue I love working at, the staff are great and the Hall and grounds are perfect with a good variety of locations for your wedding photographs.
The weather wasn’t great to start but eventually got better so we still managed to get out and have a walk around the grounds. It’s always worth bearing in mind when choosing  a wedding venue that they can accommodate for indoor photographs should the weather be really against you. Don’t get me wrong you can get some awesome images even on a wet day but a plan B is always good.
Hannah and her Bridesmaids got ready at the venue so I headed to the room to get some of the details and document some of the bridal preps, I then made my way out to capture Ed arriving in the Italian job mini’s with the ushers and best man.
This was a fun filled day from start to finish and a real pleasure to work for Hannah and Ed on their epic wedding.
Here are a few snippets from the day…..
